Sınırtaş Compliance is the advisory practice of Sınırtaş & Partners, a law firm based in İstanbul working in international sanctions, maritime law and cross-border trade.
Where we sit. Most sanctions advice available to companies in this region comes from one of two places: a US or EU firm advising from inside the regime that created the restriction, or a local adviser who reads the restriction from the outside without working with it.
We work from Türkiye, on files that touch the United States, the European Union, the Gulf and South Asia.
How we work. Assessment begins with the transaction, not with the regime. A designation decision sits on top of a transaction structure, a contract chain and a payment channel; the useful analysis is the one that reaches those. This is why the practice runs alongside commercial and maritime work rather than separately from it.
